Woyak Project from Start to Finish

In 1994, Plover-Whiting Youth Athletics utilized ten T-ball, nine little league, and four Babe Ruth diamonds at 12 sites throughout Plover and Whiting. The concept of a new youth sports complex was established in 1994 and has since developed into a joint venture between Paul and Alana Woyak, Plover-Whiting Youth Athletics, and the Village of Plover. This complex will provide two little league/softball-size fields and one Babe Ruth-size field plus room for up to ten flag football fields. In addition to the fields, a family gathering area that includes a concession stand and large playground area is also available. Playground equipment totaling $35,000 was donated by Kimberly Clark. Lights have been added to all fields to accommodate night play. Woyak Community Sports Complex, as it was named, was dedicated on Saturday, June 14, 1997.
