The Plover 10U Nationals went 5-0 and took first place over the weekend at the Suburban Athletics tournament in Neenah.    Plover outscored their opponents 62-17 in the 2 day event.   Lucca Weinkauf led the team in batting, while Brock Birrenkott hit the first home run of his young career to lead the way for the Plover offense.    Drew Kedrowicz pounded out 3 triples to go along with 3 doubles while Birrenkott doubled 4 times.

Kaden Thauer pitched 8 strong innings allowing just 1 run to cross the plate to highlight a pitching staff that gave up just 10 earned runs all weekend.   Alec Smith, Ben Fonti, Seth Bunders, Kedrowicz and Weinkauf made valuable mound contributions as well.   Fonti slammed the door in the championship game, pitching a 1-2-3 6th inning as Plover bested Kaukauna 11-7.
